Unsung Hero: Lauren Bennett

Meet Lauren!

Lauren Bennett is a dedicated physical therapist assistant at Memorial Regional Health (MRH), whose commitment to patient care and rehabilitation makes her an Unsung Hero!

In her role as a physical therapist assistant, Lauren conducts treatment sessions to promote health and movement, focusing on creating a safe environment for patients while addressing various diseases, disorders, conditions, and injuries to restore function. Lauren strives to make physical therapy enjoyable, showing patients that they are capable of achieving their goals.

Lauren’s journey into healthcare was inspired by a childhood sports injury that required extensive rehabilitation before a major hip surgery. This experience ignited a passion for physical therapy, setting her on a path to help others regain their health and mobility.

Lauren joined MRH in November 2023, shortly after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Technology with a degree in Physical Therapist Assistance. She was also working towards a bachelor’s in Healthcare Leadership and Administration at the time.

What Lauren loves most about her position at MRH is the patients, co-workers, and the supportive atmosphere in the outpatient PT clinic. She enjoys the sense of being an important part of the team and the smiles from MRH employees. She shared, “I’ve never had a better workplace or a stronger sense of belonging. My colleagues are like family; we all support each other. Accepting this job was the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Originally from Pennsylvania, Lauren moved to Meeker, Colorado with her boyfriend for his new job. They are currently building a home and enjoying life in the beautiful northwest part of the state.

Outside of work, Lauren spends time with her boyfriend, Eric, and their three pups: April, Marley, and June. She also loves hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, and other outdoor activities. Her nights and weekends are currently dedicated to the home-building process.

Family is very important to Lauren. She has an amazing family back in Pennsylvania and is the oldest of three girls. Her two younger sisters have given her her favorite little humans, who are 9, 5, 3, and 8 months old. The little ones FaceTime Lauren daily, which brings her immense joy.

One thing people might not know about Lauren is that she is having a hip replacement in September. She also collects Barbies and loves doing puzzles.

MRH is honored to have Lauren as part of our team, making a difference in the lives of countless individuals every day. Thank you, Lauren, for your selfless commitment to helping others and ensuring the well-being of your patients. You are truly an inspiration to us all!
