Meet Dane!

We’re proud to recognize an Unsung Hero here at MRH – Dane Graves! As a Prior Authorization Specialist, Dane works hard every day to ensure that patients’ medical treatments and procedures are covered by insurance. He’s amazing at what he does, from filing appeals to coordinating with doctors – always ensuring that our patients get the best care possible.

We’re excited to also recognize Dane on his one-year anniversary here at MRH! Since joining us, Dane says “The most fulfilling aspect of my position is when I am able to successfully overturn an initial denial from insurance following an appeal. It gives me a sense of accomplishment to fight for our patients and ensure they receive the care they deserve.”

Just over a year ago Dane was living in Laramie, WY when his partner was offered an excellent job here. While living in Craig, Dane has been able to continue his enrollment as a full-time student at the University of Wyoming and continue his coursework remotely online. During his time at the university, he also worked as an RA in student housing and a dispatcher and driver for disability transportation. In addition, Dane enjoyed volunteering as a Ski Patroller at Snowy Range Ski Area.

Dane continues to have a passion for skiing, which you will find him doing almost every weekend during the winter. He has a great appreciation for his partner Beth and cherishes spending time with his children, from taking them to the city pool or park, or just simply staying at home and playing video games together. An interesting fact you might not know about Dane is he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts when he was a kid!

Dane said, “I consider myself fortunate to work alongside a team of individuals who share a genuine passion for helping the people who seek care at MRH. Their dedication makes each day a better day.”
