Meet Alicia!

For 8.5 years, Alicia Duarte has served as a Dietary Technician at MRH, infusing each day with her infectious smile and unwavering commitment to service.

“Alicia is always smiling, she goes above and beyond to help wherever help is needed, she is dependable and welcomes everyone with a hug every day,” says Alicia’s manager.

Before joining MRH, Alicia worked at Hampton Inn but felt a calling for a change, leading her to pursue a career in healthcare. With a heart dedicated to serving others, she was inspired to make a difference in people’s lives by providing nourishment and care to patients at MRH.

In her role, Alicia’s daily tasks vary, from cooking and managing the cash register to her main role of prep work, ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the dietary department. One of her favorite tasks is preparing the salad bar. “Everybody loves the salad bar, and it makes me happy to get it ready for everyone,” Alicia shares.

Alicia also said that her passion for her job stems from her love for people. She cherishes the opportunity to interact with patients and visitors, especially the elderly, and finds fulfillment in making a positive impact on their day.

Alicia moved to Craig from Mexico over 30 years ago and enjoys spending her free time helping her mom, cooking delicious meals such as pork with red sauce and chicken with green chili, gardening, and caring for her flowers.
