Unsung Hero: Beth Withrow

Meet Beth!

Beth Withrow is a true Unsung Hero. Her work often happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt by everyone who walks through the doors of Memorial Regional Health.

As an Inpatient/Clinical Pharmacist at MRH, Beth ensures the safe and effective use of medications for all patients. With over two and a half years of dedicated service, her daily responsibilities are varied and vital. From reviewing patient medications and ensuring the nursing staff has what they need, to managing chemotherapy and antibody infusions for patients battling cancer, Beth is there every step of the way. She also stands ready to assist in emergency situations in the ER, ensuring the right medications are available when they’re needed most. Even when her shift ends, Beth remains available 24/7 to provide critical support in emergencies or answer urgent medication-related questions.

Beth says, “I love being able to combine my science-nerd tendencies with my passion for helping others.”

Beyond the science of pharmacy, it’s the human connections that bring Beth joy in her daily work. For her, the best part of the job is the people she works with. She describes her team as amazing, dedicated, and always willing to give their all.

Beth’s journey into healthcare began in high school, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a local veterans’ home. With a passion for public service and community care, she pursued a degree in Chemistry, which ultimately led her to pharmacy.

Born in Iowa and raised in Walsenburg, Colorado, Beth’s path to Craig was unexpected. A professor at the University of Wyoming (where Beth completed pharmacy school) forwarded her an email from MRH’s former Director of Pharmacy, suggesting she might be a great fit for the position. Beth took the chance, and now, she’s an integral part of the MRH family.

Outside of work, Beth’s life is just as full. She and her partner, Dane (who also works at MRH), have three children, two cats, and a dog. Together, they enjoy taking their camper out to explore the Colorado wilderness. In the winter months, you can find Beth cross-country skiing, and the rest of the year, she’s tapping her way through dance classes at Studio V—where her daughter also dances. Tap dancing started as a way to join in on the dance recitals but has since become a passion and a fun way to work out. She also enjoys some more relaxing time reading, crocheting, and baking.

We’re proud to celebrate Beth for her tireless contributions to our hospital and our patients. Thank you, Beth, for all that you do to keep our community healthy and thriving!
