Meet Alan Grieser

Alan Grieser is a Warehouse Technician and Courier – an important link in the chain at MRH. Alan ensures that all departments have the supplies they need to carry out their tasks effectively. His role involves a diverse range of duties, including managing supplies, making deposits, picking up labs, and delivering items across various departments. He takes pride in supporting his colleagues and facilitating smooth operations throughout the hospital.

Eight years ago, Alan transitioned to healthcare after spending 25 years at the local power plant when a friend recommended him for a position at MRH. Alan was drawn to the opportunity to serve his community in a new capacity.

Alan thrives on the variety his job offers and enjoys connecting with colleagues throughout the hospital. What he loves most about his role is the dynamic nature of his job and the opportunity to interact with people from various departments. He values the sense of camaraderie at MRH and finds fulfillment in knowing that his work contributes to the well-being of patients and staff alike.

Outside of work, Alan enjoys a range of activities, from snowboarding in the winter and Harley rides in the summer to reading and walks with his dogs all year long. He is actively involved in his local church, where he volunteers for community events and participates in group activities.

Alan has been a Craig resident for over 40 years and cherishes the small-town atmosphere which originally brought him and his family here from the Denver area. As a disabled Vietnam Veteran, Alan brings a unique perspective and dedication to everything he does, both professionally and personally.

Alan is the nominated Unsung Hero, but even so, he emphasizes the work of those around him. He recognizes the dedication of his entire Materials team at MRH, highlighting their commitment to providing quality service while remaining cost-conscious. He values the supportive environment at MRH and appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others every day.
