Nutrition Counseling Services in Craig
Memorial Regional health offers inpatient and outpatient nutrition counseling services, during which our registered dietitian will talk with a patient about any nutritional needs and/or concerns they may have.
This includes offering advice, education, and tips for following a prescribed diet at home, as well as offering information about the reason behind that diet prescription. Counseling is available to anyone – without a provider referral – for providing nutrition-related tools and support that will help improve overall health. Contact us today to learn more.
What is Nutrition Counseling?
Nutrition counseling looks different for each patient, depending on each individual’s specific needs and concerns. Initial visits are about 60 minutes long, during which our dietician will talk through goals for the session, answer any questions the patient may have, and provide nutrition education focused on individual needs and goals.
We see patients with a variety of specific dietary needs, including diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2) and pre-diabetes, kidney disease, various cardiology-related issues (heart attack, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, heart failure), gastrointestinal-related issues (ostomies, liver disease, pancreatitis, irregular bowel habits, Celiac Disease), weight loss, underweight, multiple allergies and severe migraines.
