Do you know the signs of a heart attack in a woman?
There are a lot of obvious differences between men and women, but one of the biggest differences is in heart disease. Did you know that heart disease is the number one killer of women? That’s right – it’s more deadly than all forms of cancer combined. Heart attack symptoms for women are often very different. Four symptoms you should take seriously include shortness of breath, irregular pain in the upper and lower back, jaw pain, and nausea. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms – trust your gut – go to the emergency department. If you want to get a baseline on the health of your heart, make an appointment with MRH Cardiologist Dr. Gerald Myers.
