Unsung Heroes: Kimberly Helinsky

Occupational Therapy Assistant

Meet the Kimberly!

We are so proud to shine a light on our Unsung Hero: Kimberly Helinsky, an Occupational Therapy Assistant who works with the pediatric population! Kimberly helps children with various physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges build everyday skills needed to live life independently and participate in the community. Kimberly has a special way of connecting with kids that empowers them to learn and grow in a safe, friendly environment. She is always ready for whatever comes her way – providing opportunities for exploration and growth as she helps children reach their goals.

“It’s an indescribable feeling watching these small humans face these mountainous obstacles and with our guidance conquer these challenges and succeed. That’s why I come to work every day at MRH with amazing team support behind me and a smile on my face ready for whatever the day has in store.”

In addition to her Unsung Hero nomination, we’re thrilled to celebrate Kimberly’s work anniversary with us! Exactly one year ago, we recruited Kimberly from Jacksonville, FL to join the MRH team. Kimberly says that even though she came from out of state, not knowing a single person in the area, she has never felt alone – thanks to her team. She gives special thanks to her boss Ericka for creating a positive team culture and uplifting them in their work every day!

Coming from Florida, she’s a bit overwhelmed with the amount of snow we got this past year, but she has loved the switch-up of scenery and experiencing all the things that the great outdoors has to offer. She is learning how to ski and has brought her boyfriend, Todd, and dog, Bandit, along for the adventure! Kimberly also really enjoys architecture and home design and one of her life goals is to build and design her own forever home.

This summer Kimberly plans to work with a local organization, Moffat County School to Work Alliance Program, providing information centered around potential career paths that are available at MRH for our young adults.

Kimberly, we’re so grateful to have you on our team and recognize you as our Unsung Hero!
