Unsung Heroes: Health Tech Team

School Nurse Day is May 11, so we felt it was only right to highlight the team caring for our children in schools everyday.

Meet the Health Tech Team!

Anita Cooper

Anita came to Craig from Lander, Wyoming and she is the Health Tech for Craig Middle School. She loves getting to know each and every student and being able to help make students feel cared for and safe.

“I really enjoy working with and taking care of the kids,” Anita said.

Laurie Davidson

Laurie is a Craig native and works in the building where she went to elementary school – Sunset Elementary School! This is her fourth year working for MRH and she loves being able to be a helpful and positive person in student’s life.

“The things I love most about my job are the relationships I have with my coworkers and the students,” Laurie said.

Paige Dowker

Paige grew up in Meeker but moved after high school and later started her family in Craig. She is the Health Tech for Sandrock Elementary School. Paige said what she loves the most about her job is being able to offer extra support to children who may need it.

“Being able to talk with each child about what is new in their life or what they are most excited about is easily the best part of my job,” Paige said.

Chelsie Dunlap

Chelsie is the Health Tech for Ridgeview Elementary School. She has always enjoyed working with kids and said that she loves working with the Health Tech team because they support each other.

“I take pride in my job and caring for the amazing students at Ridgeview,” Chelsie said. “I enjoy knowing that I am making a positive impact on kids every day.”

Beverly Kostur

Beverly is the Health Tech for Moffat County High School. She grew up in Hayden and has lived in the Craig community for more than 30 years. Beverly said that even if she only helps one child in a day, it makes her day.

“I love what I do. I love being around the kids and I love being with all my coworkers,” Beverly said. “We work hard and love our jobs and people.”

Amber Schwingdorf

Amber was born and raised in Craig, left for 17 years, then came back and now works as the Health Tech for Early Childhood Center Preschool and Alternative High School. Amber had been a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for 19 years before starting as a health tech. She said this job has opened her eyes to a whole other world of care and that it is very rewarding.

“What I love most about my job is seeing the children every day. But I also love helping people and seeing them thrive,” Amber said.
