Meet Susan!

We’d like to recognize Susan Staker as our Unsung Hero! She is a dedicated Dietary Technician who loves working with people and feeding them. From keeping the cafeteria stocked and cleaned to working the cash register or pitching in wherever help is needed, Susan is a real team player.

Susan has worked here at MRH for 11 ½ years. She started as a Registration agent for the ER and PRN for the Physical Therapy department and front desk. Before joining us, she worked for UPS for 18 years. Originally from Utah, she and her husband moved to Colorado when he received a job offer they couldn’t refuse.

“I enjoy the people I work with and get to see every day. Just getting to know everyone has been a lot of fun.”

When she’s not at MRH, Susan enjoys shopping, yard sales and auctions, going out to dinner and the movies with the family, bowling, camping and horseback riding. She has 4 children – 3 are stepchildren and 1 her own, but she says, “They are ALL my kids!” She also has 2 grandchildren with another on the way.

A fun fact you may not know about Susan is she got married in the middle of a hockey game, at half-time, with 93 other couples on Valentine’s Day 2003. It was called Utah’s Big Fat Wedding!
