Letter From Our CEO: A Legacy of Care, Compassion, and Community
One of the greatest privileges of serving as CEO of Memorial Regional Health is the opportunity to witness—and honor—the extraordinary people who dedicate their lives to caring for our community. This spring, we mark two such milestones that deserve heartfelt recognition.

Dr. Larry Kipe
After nearly four decades of caring for the people of Craig and Moffat County, Dr. Larry Kipe will retire at the end of March. Dr. Kipe came to Craig in 1988 to join the family medicine practice founded by Dr. Allan Reishus and Dr. Andre Huffmire, then known as Moffat Family Clinic. For many years, he maintained his own private practice before joining the Memorial Regional Health medical staff in 2017.
Over the course of his 38-year career, Dr. Kipe has done something truly rare: he has cared for entire families—sometimes three generations—providing care from cradle to grave. He has delivered babies, supported young families, managed chronic illness, and comforted patients and loved ones at life’s most difficult moments. His steady presence, clinical excellence, and deep compassion have shaped the health of this community in ways that will last far beyond his final day in clinic.
Dr. Kipe is not only a gifted physician, but also a respected physician leader and colleague. We are deeply grateful for the dedication he has shown to his patients and to Memorial Regional Health.
At Dr. Kipe’s request, there will not be a formal retirement celebration. However, for those who wish to share a note of thanks or a personal memory, notecards are available at his clinic, and we encourage community members to help us fill them with gratitude for a career so well lived in service to others.

Dr. Allan Reishus
We are also recognizing another extraordinary leader this season. Dr. Allan Reishus has completed his five-year term on the Memorial Regional Health Board of Trustees. Dr. Reishus has devoted his professional life to improving the health and well-being of Craig and Moffat County—not only as a physician, but also as a mentor, a leader, and a tireless advocate for high-quality rural healthcare. His thoughtful service on the Board has helped guide MRH through an important period of growth and transition, and we are better because of his commitment.
Dr. Kipe and Dr. Reishus represent the very best of what rural medicine stands for: deep relationships, long-term commitment, and an unwavering belief in the people they serve. On behalf of the entire Memorial Regional Health team—and our community—thank you for nearly a lifetime of caring for Craig
With gratitude,
Jennifer Riley, MHA, FACHE
