Unsung Hero: Samantha Corson

Meet Samantha!

Samantha Corson, our dedicated Cash Reconciliation Coordinator at Memorial Regional Health, works diligently behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly on the financial front. For Samantha, the role is all about precision and balance—she might not be handling physical cash, but she’s the one making sure that payments are matched up and accounts are properly managed.

Samantha began her journey at MRH a year ago, starting in Patient Access before quickly transitioning into her current role. Her love for numbers has followed her throughout her career, having worked at a local bank in Craig before joining MRH. “I’ve been dealing with money my whole working life, and I enjoy it. Even though I’m not physically handling cash now, I’m still able to work with finances, which I love,” she says.

While the daily tasks of posting insurance remits and payments might sound technical, for Samantha, the heart of her work is the people she’s surrounded by. “The people I work with are my favorite. Everyone is so willing to help each other.” she shares. This sense of community keeps her motivated and makes every day enjoyable.

Originally from Nevada, Samantha moved to Craig at the age of five, and it’s been her home ever since. Family is everything to her, and she spends most of her time outside of work with her loved ones—whether it’s watching her daughter’s volleyball games and getting her to various activities or riding RZR’s and camping with her family.

As a devoted single mom, Samantha’s world is her daughter. “Being a single mom, my daughter relies on me for everything, and everything that I do is for her. Whether it be from working long hours to provide for her or sitting in the bleachers all day long to cheer her on for her sports. As much as she relies on me, she doesn’t know that she keeps me going day in and day out. She is my world!”

Samantha brings this commitment and care to everything she does, including her work here at MRH. We are grateful to have her on the team! Thank you, Samantha, for all that you do to support MRH and for being such a shining example of dedication and care!
