The pediatrics team at Memorial Regional Health works tirelessly to ensure your newborns and children are always in trusted hands. We are grateful for the families who trust us with their little ones and do everything we can to prioritize their health and ensure they feel comfortable when visiting our office.

Two local Craig families shared their experiences and why they continue to visit Dr. Couillard, Kevin Monahan, PA-C, and the rest of our team for their child’s care.
Manske Family: ‘I’ve never had a bad experience’

Rachel Manske’s 18-month-old daughter, Olivia, has been a patient of Dr. Couillard’s since birth. She recently received care from the MRH pediatrics team that required extra attention. Rachel appreciated the time the team spent following up on her and her daughter, making sure that each day Olivia was feeling a little better.
“They are absolutely amazing,” Rachel said. “You can tell they genuinely care for not only Olivia, but me and my entire family under a stressful situation.”
Olivia and her two sisters — Kylie, 10, and Raygan, 4 — have been patients of MRH since 2016, and Rachel is continually amazed by how the team goes above and beyond for her children. For one instance, Olivia had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance, and when Dr. Couillard heard the news, she visited the hospital to check on Rachel and Olivia. She wanted to make sure they were OK. As a mother, Rachel said she couldn’t ask for more from her pediatrician.
Attentive and personable are two words that pop into Rachel’s head when she thinks about the pediatric care her kids receive at MRH.
“They provide excellent care,” she said. “No matter who you’re working with on the team — Dr. Couillard, Kevin Monahan, the nurses — you can tell they all really work from the heart.”
Rachel also appreciates the knowledge and expertise of the MRH team and recommends them to other families in the area every chance she gets.
“I’ve never had a bad experience,” she said. “I love these people, and they are just all-around great people to take care of my children!”

The pediatrics team is currently accepting new patients and continues to be open and available for existing patients. We provide well-child visits, immunizations and can address many other health concerns.
We are open and safe. Some same-day appointments are available.

Molina Family: ‘I can trust them with anything’

Claudia Molina has taken her two children, Diego, 10, and Yoselin, 13, to visit with MRH pediatrics providers since they were born at the hospital.
A Craig resident of 20 years, Claudia said MRH has been there when she and her children needed care most. They’ve helped to solve diagnoses and always offer top-notch care — even for routine exams and annual preventative screenings. Whenever Claudia’s friends who have babies and kiddos need a doctor, she always recommends MRH.
“They really have the experience and take the time to pay attention to what’s going on,” she said. “The nurses and doctors are great, especially in the way they welcome my kids and take care of them.”
About two years ago, Yoselin came down with a cough that lasted for more than two months. After trying to nail down the source of the issue, it was determined she had developed asthma.
“They were the only ones who figured out what was wrong,” Claudia said. “The attention they put into her case was outstanding. They always listen to us as the parents when we visit, too, and they take the time to understand everything we have going on.”
Diego visits with Dr. Couillard more regularly for his health conditions. It’s hard for him to warm up to new people, especially doctors, but the MRH team did everything they could to build their relationship with him. Now, he really trusts Dr. Couillard and the team and doesn’t get stressed or nervous for his visits. In fact, when he sees them at the grocery store or elsewhere in public, he isn’t afraid to go up to them to say hello.
“They know how to work with him, and they take the time to tell him what they’re going to do and explain what is going to happen during the whole visit,” Claudia said. “I can trust them with anything, and as a parent, that’s exactly what you want.”
Claudia said she views her relationship with the MRH pediatrics staff as a friendship. She knows that whenever she has a concern, the department is always there to help her and her children!
