Don’t miss any updates from Memorial Regional Health by signing up for our every-other-month Living Well newsletter here.
Dear community,
By the time you read this newsletter, we will only be a few days from the official start of spring. I’m happy to report that things are starting to look up, both internally here at MRH and externally in our community. I want to share with you a few highlights of what we have in store for you.
Please join me on Tuesday, March 22, for the next Community Conversation. I brought back these community meetings when I was named Interim CEO last October. I held the first meeting in November, and I committed to holding them every four months. This meeting will be held at the Moffat County Pavilion, and it starts at 6:00 p.m. If you come, you will hear from our board chair, Kelly Hepworth, an update on hiring the next CEO. I will also share with you some changes that are coming — some related to services and some related to billing. This is also a time for you to come with questions or to provide feedback.
MRH is also pleased to welcome three new physicians to our care team. In December, Dr. Frank Laws began seeing Cardiology patients here in Craig. Dr. Laws is with Valley View Heart and Vascular Center in Glenwood Springs. He specializes in both interventional cardiology as well as electrophysiology. In February, we welcomed Dr. Stephen Mayer, a medical oncologist. He is with the Calaway Young Cancer Center at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs. Both Dr. Laws and Dr. Mayer see patients in Craig two days per month. Later this month, we welcome Dr. Alex Sielatycki. Dr. Sielatycki joined Steamboat Orthopaedic and Spine Institute as their new spine surgeon.
I hope you will take the time to read through this edition of Living Well. You’ll find more great information on our services and our incredible staff. If you have had a great experience with our services, staff or providers, we would love to hear about it so we can share it with those who took great care of you. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Jennifer Riley, MHA
