Letter From Our CEO: Celebrating 15 Years
Don’t miss any updates from Memorial Regional Health by signing up for our every-other-month Living Well newsletter here.
Fifteen years ago, on November 12, we proudly opened the doors to our new, state-of-the-art hospital—a moment that marked a new chapter in healthcare for our community. The previous facility, which served us well since 1950, simply could no longer meet the growing needs of our patients. Our new hospital was designed to do just that, offering modern technology, advanced therapies, and the ability to deliver more specialized care right here at home.
This issue of Living Well highlights just a few of the ways we continue to leverage these upgrades to bring cutting-edge care to you. In this edition, we feature a new infusion treatment for early-stage dementia that we are thrilled to offer in our beautiful infusion center. This advanced therapy, which can make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, is now available locally, reducing the need for travel and allowing families to focus on what matters most—time together.
Additionally, we share the remarkable story of a complex surgery performed by one of our skilled surgeons. It’s just one example of the high level of care available right here at MRH. Stories like these reflect the dedication of our medical team to providing world-class care, close to home.
Beyond healthcare, MRH is deeply rooted in the economic fabric of our community. We proudly employ nearly 400 individuals who live, work, and raise their families here. As one of the largest employers in the region, we understand the important role we play not only in your health but also in the local economy.
Thank you for continuing to trust us with your care. It is an honor to serve you, and we remain committed to advancing the health and well-being of our community. Here’s to the next 15 years—and beyond.
